Do you ever wonder who you really are? Are you this mere body, mind or intellect, or is there something beyond this that we are unable to perceive? In this beautiful composition, Anandmurti Gurumaa reveals our true nature to us.

We all are the pure, blissful consciousness that is pervading this universe. This consciousness is nothing but God. Due to maya, or ignorance we have forgotten our true nature and continue to wrongfully identify ourselves with our thoughts and body. Since we identify ourselves with something that is not our true Self we always remain unhappy, and are in constant search of real happiness.

Meditation and the repetition of God’s name help us to cleanse our mind and body from impurities, which ultimately can lead us to realize our Self. The grace of a self-realized master, along with your own spiritual practices will allow you to see who you really are.

This bhajan elucidates the fact that the pure Self, or atman is indestructible, and it has the same radiance and luster of the stars and sun that exist in nature. Therefore instead of wandering outside, roam in the inner world that lies within you.

Jise shastra kaate, na agni jalaye

Galaye na paani, mritu na mitaye

Wahi atma sachidananda me hu, wahi atma sachidananda me hu

Shivoham Shivoham Shiva kevalo hum

Maran sheel kaaya, amar to me hu

Shivoham Shivoham Shiva kevalo hum

Wahi atma sachidananda me hu, wahi atma sachidananda me hu

He taro sitaro me parkash mera, he chanda aur suraj me abhaas mere

Mere geet gaaye gita aur kuran

Shivoham Shivoham Shiva kevalo hum

Listen to this psalm and fill your heart with eternal bliss, happiness and joy. In these verses-

“Main Dwaare Tere Aayee, aa ke jholi failai,
Tu de de data jo chahe…………..”

A devotee surrenders himself to the almighty and says – Dear lord! I have come to your door to worship you and to get your blessings. My love towards you is pure and pious. I love you unconditionally.

To rejoice these feelings of a devotee, sing aloud with Anandmurti Gurumaa! A devotee says to the almighty, I don’t wish fulfillment of my worldly desires from you. Neither joys nor sorrows I wish from you. You give me whatever you think deems fit for me.

Each and everything belongs to you, so I thank you for everything you have given me. I offer you all what is already yours. It’s only the salutation, which I can offer you. Being compassionate and bounteous please bless me, so that I can dive deeper and deeper to know my real self.

True love comes from within and we cannot get the `Divine Love’ from anywhere outside, then what is love actually? What is its source? This is what the Enlightened Mystic Master – Anandmurti Gurumaa speaks about in this video.

Love is God. And the true existence that exists within everyone is God. But to understand and experience the true love, first one needs to seek the true existence within him. Our very self in the real form is the `Pure Love’ and we need to seek `The True Self’ to experience the Divine love. And this can only happen through Self- Realization.

Gurumaa guides us the path towards self-realization and as a part of this, she has suggested many techniques of `Dhyana’ (meditation) like ‘Nishkriya Dhyana’, ‘Urja Dhyana’ and ‘Pranav Meditation’. All of the methods are unique in their practice.

‘Tratak Meditation’ also called Candle Meditation, proposed by Gurumaa helps to increase one’s concentration power greatly. The meditation “Yoga Nidra“ suggested by Gurumaa is one of the most effective ways for living `Stress Free Life’ and also helps to go deeper in the meditation.

To know how these meditation techniques should actually be practiced, click here.

Not only this, there are many techniques of Pranayam also that are suggested by the Master. The different processes of Pranayam like `Nadi Shodhana’, `Bhastrika and Kapalbhati Pranayam’ are very useful in the path of attaining the true wisdom in life.

For detailed explanation and videos on these procedures of Pranayam by Gurumaa, click here.

By consistently practicing these Meditation and Pranayam techniques suggested by The Master, one can steadily move towards the Self-Realization and experience the purest form of Love that gives a deepest silence to mind, deepest contentment to heart and a feeling of fulfillment and sheer contentment. Love and God are one and in order to understand or experience the true love, one needs to get a glimpse of the true existence within.

How to learn the art to dive within and being one with our true self? How to deepen our love and devotion towards God? How to be free from the constant chattering of our mind? Discover the answers in this Gurumaa video.

In this video Anandmurti Gurumaa tells us how to go within our self and experience the blessed and divine place that lies within us. As she says, this is the most important pilgrimage we can take during our life time.

In order to experience the divinity that exists within us we have to purify our mind. The purification of the mind starts occurring as we listen to the words of wisdom from self-realized masters. The sadguru is completely absorbed in bliss and love of God, and by sitting in their presence these pure waves or vibrations will reach us and touch our hearts too.

As Gurumaa mentions in this video, we have to open the doors of our heart so that these pure vibrations of love can enter into us. If you stay in the company of someone who is in love with God, you will begin to receive these pure vibrations and the process of transformation within you can slowly begin.

During satsang the sadguru is graciously bestowing the knowledge of divine love upon us. This is the highest form of knowledge that anyone can receive, as it is coming out of their hearts and attempting to reach us. The reason we do not absorb this knowledge is due to the fact that we have shut the doors of our heart and remain in a world of ignorance. Unlike kathas where stories of great heroes or idols are told, satsang is a place where our ignorance can be removed and we can realize who we really are.

Gurumaa also explains the complexities of the mind. Although the mind is constantly wandering, it is the same mind that brings you in the company of saints. The mind is the vehicle through which we understand the true nature of our Self.

Therefore in order for us to stabilize our mind we have to purify it by repeating the name of God. When we learn a new skill it can take days, or even years before we attain it. In the same way, attaining God is a process, in which we purify our mind and heart from all the impressions and negativities that are stored in it. The principle purpose of mediation is to attain knowledge of your own Self. Instead of looking for God outside and in holy pilgrimage sites, realize that God exists within you.

What is the purpose and benefit of pilgrimage? How to find and visit the real pilgrimage? How to get connected with God? Find the answers in this Gurumaa video.

Anandmurti Gurumaa explains where the real holy places exist. She says that everything exists within you, and the whole purpose of visiting the outer holy places is to discover the sacred and blessed place that is already within you!

All of the major religions in the world always place special emphasis on visiting their holy revered sites. For example, in the Hindu religion some of the most important sites of pilgrimage are Varanasi or the Char dham pilgrimage (which includes Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath). For Muslims, a pilgrimage, more commonly known as Hajj to Mecca is part of the five pillars of faith in Islam. The Holy land, located within the Israel and Palestinian territories is also a significant site of worship for Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Many people go to these sites for the sake of just going and fulfilling a part of their duty in their religious practices. Some feel the more money they donate to various idols and holy places, the more virtue they will attain. They treat this whole process as a business deal and think that they have performed good deeds.

Gurumaa explains if you go with these kinds of intentions, you are not really gaining anything. Instead of destroying your pride, you are only intensifying it by believing that you have performed a great action by donating money. If there is no love and devotion in your actions, you really did not understand the true meaning of going on a pilgrimage.

As Gurumaa says, it is important to visit these holy sites because going here gives you a sense of peace and tranquility that you may not be able to experience elsewhere. There are a lot of positive and pure vibrations emanating from these places which can only help you in your spiritual life.

In order to really understand the true meaning of these pilgrimage sites we have to go within ourselves and see that God has put the most important holy place in us! To enter within our self, we have to have a deep yearning and love to know and see God.

By going to satsangs, and sitting in the presence of self-realized masters we are able to form a connection, or bond of love with God. Our hearts are kindled in the fire of the love that is emanating from these great beings.

Gurumaa reveals that in order for this to occur we have to open our hearts and surrender our ego. It is only after we open our heart and become receptive to the master’s grace that we can experience the divinity that lies within us.

If God dwells within us, what is the need of worshiping idols and statues? Can temples serve as catalysts for achieving higher planes of consciousness? Find the answers in this Gurumaa video.

A devotee asked Anandmurti Gurumaa the following question – Why people go to visit the temples if everything is inside our body? And if the soul is like a lightening power, then why can’t everyone see it?

Gurumaa says that until one experiences or understands that everything is within him, one can go to a temple. A devotee should visit the temple with purified feelings and beautiful emotions pertaining to – “Godliness and Devotion”.

To dwell upon these beautiful feelings, one needs to pray from the core of the heart. Listening to the Spiritual Discourses, Hyms (bhajans) and reading the spiritual books, etc of an Enlightened Master also help to achieve higher planes of consciousness.

At most times, temples are quite crowded and jam-packed with devotees. One gets a feeling of anxiety and also finds it difficult to breathe freely in such situations. This might be one of the reasons why people feel repelled towards visiting temples and ask what is the need to visit temples at all!

So, Gurumaa suggests setting aside some time to visit the temple when it is free from the crowd and lots of noises. Because in the quietude of a temple it will be easier to meditate, contemplate and pray with devotion.

These positive vibrations of devotion can be very helpful in the spiritual growth of the devotee. With regular meditation one can move towards the path of “Self-Realization”.

The regular practice of prayers and meditation; and the Master’s blessings help the devotee to slowly and steadily glide deeper and deeper and get an eye to see the divine light within. And finally it will be revealed that everything is within one’s body itself and the “Soul” is like a lightening power.

How can we develop a strong connection and be in constant touch with God? Is it that we have to visit all temples and holy places to know God? Or is there some other way for self-realization? Discover the answers in this Gurumaa video.

Meera has been a great realized saint woman in India. She was a queen and achieved the greatest spiritual heights through her devotion towards Lord Krishna. Giving her example, Anandmurti Gurumaa explains that the path towards knowing God is the inner path, and not the pictures and statues of idols that we see in temples.

As Gurumaa says in this video, your journey begins when you sit in the company of saints. The act of being present in the company of these great masters, and to imbibe and study their teachings, is defined as satsang.

In satsang we remain in the company of great beings, who reveal the true purpose of our lives by disclosing the highest form of knowledge to us. The highest form of knowledge is to discover who we really are, and to realize that God lives within our very own heart.

The master removes the darkness from within us and reveals that we are God too! The same divinity that exists in the master is also present in us and everything else in this world. They have the power to change your inner being, remove impurities and completely transform someone.

The master is in constant communion with this divine bliss, and these pure vibrations are constantly emanating from them. If we are receptive, we will absorb these pure vibrations and our journey to understanding the real place where God exists will begin.

According to the great sages of India, God dwells within you, which is why the scriptures and sages always tell us to mediate and worship our own Self. Gurumaa also explains where the real place of worship really exists and how we can reach this place in this lifetime itself.

She says we have to travel into our inner world and discover the hidden treasures that lie within us. All the idols or photos in a temple are a symbolic representation of what is present within you. The real purpose of worshiping any outer form of God is to become connected to the divine consciousness that lies within us.

How can we love God unconditionally? What are the methods for unconditional seva, simran and prayer? In this video Anandmurti Gurumaa explains the answer to this question lies within your own heart.

She says if you dive deep within your own heart you will find it is filled in the bliss of this purest form of love. If you can tap into this center you will be able to love your guru or God in an unconditional manner.

In this form of love there are no expectations, or conditions you keep upon anyone. Usually, when we love someone we expect to receive something in return, and expect the person should behave in a manner that pleases us. This would be conditional love.

Unconditional love is the exact opposite. There is no effort required to love someone, and you care about someone but expect nothing in return.

The correct and proper way to remember the divine can only occur when we experience this state of unconditional love. When you are truly in love with someone, any act you perform for that person becomes effortless and enjoyable. In the same way if you love God unconditionally, the act of performing selfless seva (service) will occur spontaneously.

Krishna, the most lovingly worshipped Hindu deity, is considered to be the poorna avatar (complete incarnation) of Lord Vishnu and he was totally attuned to his divine entity right from his birth. It is believed that he incarnated in Mathura but was brought up in Gokul by Nand ji as father and Yashoda ji as mother, with deep love and affection.

Krishna means ‘dark’. It is also a term for ‘night’. Average human cognition generally perceives the Supreme Consciousness as the ‘dark’ of the unknown.

Celebrating Krishnaism, Anandmurti Gurumaa in her melodious voice, is singing a mellow dipped bhajan. An ode to the most adorable and loving lord, whose name is Krishna…

Krishna jinka naam hai, Gokul jinka dhaam hai,
Aise shri bhagwan ko, barambaar pranam hai..

Yashoda jinki maiyya hai, Nannd ji bapaiyya hai,
Aise sundar Shyam ko barambaar pranam hai…
Krishna jinka naam hai, Gokul jinka dhaam hai,
Aise shri bhagwan ko, barambaar pranam hai..
